Zo Záhrady Do Kuchyne (From Garden Into Kitchen) is a small family business that produces fine-quality cooking ingredients. They offer rare and curious greens, such as edible flowers and micro salads, and deliver them to successful and famous Slovakian chefs and restaurants. Although their good reputation grows faster than their produce, after a couple of successful years in business, they decided to give their project a name. I was asked to come up with an idea for a logo.
Because the name they chose was quite long, I suggested an emphasis on the first sword, “Zo”, which means “From“ (From Garden to Kitchen). This provided the long name with a simple and fun visual anchor. The smart solution reflects their involvement in higher gastronomy – it makes the logo look like a restaurant logo. We also did a photo shoot in their garden. Now we’re working on the CI and web presence. As you can see, I’m having a lot of fun with this one!
